ABOUT ME

First and foremost, yes, my surname really is Kenya.

I am an award-winning data journalist and fact-checker. I am currently a data analyst at the Africa Journalism Women Project where I was previously an inaugural Journalism Fellow.

When I have time I write as a freelancer on various topics including science, gender, travel, mental health, tech, the internet, pop-culture and career development.

I have also worked in communications, PR and social media management.

I am on hiatus on a joint Master’s Degree in Journalism, Media and Globalisation at Aarhus University, the Danish School of Media and Journalism in Denmark and Charles University in the Czech Republic under the Erasmus Mundus scholarship programme.

I started my journalism career at Daystar University as an editor for the school publications, Involvement Newspaper and Daystar Oracle and obtained a B.A. in Communication.
